Ecodesign and Circular Economy at the CREC – Barcelona Circular Event

June 3rd, Faca Packaging attended the event organized by the Waste Cluster of Catalonia (CREC), focused on Ecodesign and Recycling in Catalonia. The session centered on the connection between ecodesign and circular business models, with special emphasis on preparation for reuse.

The event brought together professionals from various areas of the value chain to reflect on the challenges and opportunities posed by sustainable product and service design. The importance of applying a systemic vision was highlighted, as a key approach to developing more responsible and long-lasting solutions.

A program focused on the future of sustainable desig

The event began with a presentation by Júlia Farriol, Project Manager at Inèdit, who outlined the key principles of ecodesign as a tool to improve environmental impact from the early stages of product development. This was followed by a roundtable discussion moderated by Adriana Sanz Mirabal, featuring experts from organizations such as Copreci, Ecolum, ARECA, and Solidança, who shared real-life experiences related to product reuse projects.

During the Q&A and open discussion, topics such as traceability, end-of-life management, cross-sector collaboration, and the need for progress in regulations and certifications to support circular models were addressed.
